Extracting pages creates a new PDF containing only the pages you select from an existing document. Unlike deleting, extraction preserves your original file while creating a new document with just the pages you need. Perfect for sharing specific sections or creating focused documents.
Click "Select PDF File" or drag and drop your PDF into the upload area. The document will be processed and all pages displayed as thumbnails.
Scroll through the thumbnail view to see all pages in your document. Each thumbnail shows a preview of the page content to help you identify what you need.
Click on the pages you want to include in your new document:
Click "Extract" to create a new PDF containing only your selected pages. The extraction preserves original quality and formatting.
Click "Download" to save your new PDF file. The original document remains unchanged.
Original PDF remains unchanged. Extraction creates a completely new file.
Click directly on page thumbnails to choose exactly which pages to extract.
Hold Shift to quickly select multiple consecutive pages at once.
Select pages in any order. Extracted pages follow their original sequence.
Extracted pages maintain identical quality to the source document.
See selected pages count and preview before extracting.
Internal links between extracted pages will work, but links to non-extracted pages will not.
Bookmarks may reference pages not included in the extraction.
Some interactive form fields may not function if related pages are not extracted together.
A: Extract creates one new PDF with selected pages. Split divides a document into multiple PDFs. Use Extract when you want specific pages in one file; use Split when dividing into multiple files.
A: No. Extraction is non-destructive. Your original PDF remains exactly as it was. A completely new file is created with the extracted pages.
A: Pages are extracted in their original document order. To rearrange, first extract the pages, then use the "Reorder Pages" tool on the extracted file.
A: No limit. You can extract any number of pages from documents of any size, from just one page to hundreds.
A: Click the first page in your range, then hold Shift and click the last page. All pages between them will be selected automatically.
A: Protected PDFs must be unlocked first. The tool will prompt you if it detects password protection.
